Located in lower Puna. This area is completely off the-beaten path and tucked away in the south-east part of the island. Beauty and nature abound with many ocean side hiking trails, dense jungle and tree canopies, lava flows, and volcanically heated natural mineral ponds. Just a short walk to the famous Kehena Black Sand Beach, it’s in a quiet residential neighborhood with beautiful homes. There's low light pollution at night, which provides endless star gazing opportunities on clear nights.The location feels remote, but is an easy 20 minute drive to the small town of Pāhoa. There you will find restaurants, shops, and two grocery stores, everything you could need. About a 50 minute drive to Hilo and the Volcano National Park.
