This vintage four bedroom oceanfront cottage is set at a 30 foot elevation on Harpswell Harbor, down a private lane with horse meadow, brook, and orchard, on Harpswell Neck amongst historic (18th/19th century) white farmhouses. Private mooring available. The property offers 114 feet of private waterfront, a shale stone beach, 32' ocean-facing porch. The view is out to Bailey's Island, the Cribstone bridge, moored boats, and the beach at Stover's Point Preserve. The lawn is generally level and has a large free-standing hammock and gas as well as charcoal grills. The furnishings consist of mid-century modern pieces, Restoration Hardware items, and French antiques. The property has a fine collection of books--including a curated library of Maine authors and subjects--DVDs, board games, and lawn games. The cottage has WIFI and a flatscreen TV. The location is convenient for the beach at Stover's Point Preserve, the Dolphin Marina and other restaurants, hiking trails, Brunswick, Orr's/Bailey Island, Freeport (LL Bean) and outings to terrific beaches, such as Reid State Park or Popham Beach, Bowdoin College and its International Music Festival, Bath Maritime Museum and other outings.
