Summary: Listed as "Mid-Century Modern" but certainly NOT modern. The listing shows a graphic of a sofa couch and says there is a queen airbed. Instead, there is a standard couch (not meant for sleeping) and a twin airbed. There were no written instructions in the unit for accessing the pool (which is only solar heated and therefore NOT useable except in hot months) for operating the very complicated A/C and heating thermostat (there is no central heat) or for operating the small cabinet-mounted electric fireplace in the living room. Exhaust fan in the bathroom does not work--hence paint and plaster is peeling from the ceiling; broken tile in the tub enclosure. Closet doors, sliding doors and windows very difficult to open and close. Closets are crowded with extraneous stuff. Unit smelled musty and had the odor of burnt electrical wiring--perhaps from the kitchen refrigerator that didn't work (there was a small replacement in the living room). Furniture is worn; king bed is squeaky. The neighborhood is very quiet and grounds attractive. The host was cooperative and approved a refund of our second night.
