Set right on the shore of the beautiful McGinnis Lake in Adams County on over 1.5 acres of land, this private getaway is ideal for a fun-filled family vacation!
Lake McGinnis is a man-made, spring-fed electric motor-only lake that leads into Neenah Creek. Crystal-clear waters make it great for swimming, canoeing, and paddle boating. Feel free to bring an electric motor to put on the provided aluminum boat, or bring your boat with an electric motor to tie to the brand-new pier. Kayaks are also provided for guest use. Fishing on the lake is always good and plentiful with bass, crappies, blue gill, and northern pike. And, you're just right off the best spot on the lake for fishing by boat or from the pier.
The cabin is located just a short drive to the Dells with its many attractions. Discover restaurants, shops, and services in town, or venture out a bit to explore several parks, visit some local wineries, stroll through the Quincy Bluff and Wetlands State Natural Area, or play at the MoundView Golf Course, all within 20 miles of your door. Roche-A-Cri State Park is also nearby with over 650 acres of hiking trails, and the stairway to view five counties. If you're visiting in winter, Cascade Mountain offers skiing and snowboarding just 35 miles away!
The cabin is completely remodeled, with new flooring, furniture, and appliances, as well as a 50” smart TV, with WI-FI included. It features three bedrooms, two full-size bathrooms, a large living room, kitchen, and dining room. The well-equipped, full kitchen makes meal prep easy, the dining table is perfect for mealtimes or family game nights, and a comfortable living area with a smart TV allows you to stream all your favorites using your own accounts. There is an incredible view of the lake from all the rooms in the cabin.
The fun really begins outdoors starting with a furnished, 10x20 screened porch for enjoying the sights and sounds of the lake, a screened gazebo with a table and chairs for outdoor dining and relaxing, and a large outdoor firepit (wood provided). There are outdoor games for you to use.
For additional convenience, there are children's items upon request including a highchair, Pack 'n Play, and toys.
Peaceful Point lives up to its name and isn't a party house, but rest assured you'll make memories you'll treasure forever!
