The Space:
The Westgate Retreat is perfect for the traveling family that need a beautiful, spacious, and inexpensive place to stay while in Amarillo. We are located in the medical district and conveniently located off I-40. We are only about 4 minutes from the Medical District. This home has Three large bedrooms, two amazing bathrooms, spacious living room and dining room, kitchen, a Patio, and a washer and dryer for you to do your laundry at no additional cost. We are pet friendly and this house does have a large fenced in back yard.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes needed to prepare fresh meals. Besides dishes, there is a Keurig, Keurig cups, bottled water, and other miscellaneous goodies. The bathroom has all the necessary linens, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We also leave out small toiletry items that you may have forgotten when packing for your trip. The living area and the bedroom have a large television with access to Netflix. We also provide free blazing fast Wi-Fi.
You will have your private key code to the house with a keypad lock. You may check in anytime after 4:00 as it is all self check in. There is plenty of parking if you are driving a moving truck or have multiple cars.

**We donate a portion of our proceeds to the Wolflin Community Garden. This is a non for profit project that we has your host teamed up with the local community to create an amazing gift to give back to our neighborhood. You are more than welcome to come to the garden and enjoy!!

Guest Access:
You will have private access to the entire house. There is a long private drive way that is reserved for you for your stay. There is also plenty of street parking in front of the house.
The Neighborhood:
We are located right down the street from tons of restaurants. Also we are very easy to find just a few blocks from I-40. If you want to get anywhere in town its just a hop, skip, and a jump.
Our neighborhood is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
Getting Around:
This is one of the easiest Airbnb's to find in Amarillo if you are traveling down 1-40. We are just minutes from the Amarillo Medical District.

Summary: Pros:- affordable- excellent location- large space- fenced yard- kid/pet friendlyCons:- older house, not well maintained- smelled strongly of urine with lots of stains in carpet - broken items all over the house; most concerning was a light/fan fixture in the room one of my sons slept in- not lit upon arrival; hard to find and unload initiallyOverall, I think the price was mostly fair considering the overall benefits. I will not stay here again as I was very disgusted by what I assume is pet damage. While I understand pets can have accidents, I've never stayed at a rental or lived in a house that was this bad and I've always had pets and traveled with pets. I will say that I did sleep well on the mattress which is usually difficult for me and I was surprised by that. However, the fan/light in the master bedroom is set up in a very outdated way with strange setting adjustments and is broken. When you turn the lights off, they still show dim light (we had to unscrew the lightbulbs). The fan either goes in to insane blow-you-away mode or nothing at all which made it uncomfortable. The overall tidiness of the home was okay, but the deep cleaning/status of maintenance was subpar at best. It was disappointing considering the very nice neighborhood this house was in.
