As you enter the long private driveway, a paddock is revealed along with mature gardens, lawns, orchards and trees including magnolia and acers. The cottage forms part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty whilst the ancient town of Lostwithiel with restaurants, pubs and shops is a short drive away.
The picturesque village of Lerryn at the head of a tidal creek, a tributary of the River Fowey, is just over a mile away and has a village shop and pub. The Fowey estuary meanders nearby with its picturesque harbour town a must visit, with narrow streets, cafés, restaurants and boutique shops. Lanhydrock Estate boasts riverside and woodland walks. The nearby Lanhydrock hotel and golf club has an excellent golf course. The pretty town of Looe and village of Polperro, offer a step back in time, with history steeped in tales of smuggling. Beaches are plentiful, as are coves, coast path walks and rock pools at low tide – always popular with children of all ages.
