Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lodge. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom facilities were excellent, and the fireplace made the place feel warm, cosy and truly homely. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, surrounded by stunning countryside perfect for long walks and fresh air. Some reviews mentioned the sound of planes in the early morning and the owners have been very considerate by providing earplugs. They turned out to be incredibly useful — not only for the planes but also for the night-time nature sounds (foxes and owls?). For those of us more used to the city, it was actually part of the charm and the earplugs made it easy to sleep soundly. The outdoor BBQ was fantastic and we loved that the owners even thought to provide a mini bar with drinks at very fair prices. If we had known, we wouldn’t have packed so much of our own! Overall, it was a perfect mix of comfort, nature and thoughtful hospitality. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend. P.S. photo of forest walk
