Summary: This was our first time for all of us( parents and three teenagers) to visit Crete, and what a great time we had! We stayed in many VRBO and Airbnb properties in Greece and Stauros's house was by far the best! It is in the village, not close to big resorts and busy towns( close enough to get there by car though) but this is what we liked: to live and eat with the locals. The house is very beautiful remodeled and tasteful decorated, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need if you want to cook. Stauros is the best host we ever met. We got confused about the directions to the house and he met us in the main road at 10 PM and showed us the way to the place.The refrigerator was stocked with cold water and watermelon. On the kitchen table Stauros had fresh fruit, honey, olive oil from his farm, rachi and home made olive oil soap from his mom. We stayed only 5 nights but during our stay he had a lady come in and clean the house! Stauros gave us the best tips about which places to visit and where to eat. We came to learn that eating in villages is the best! Thank you Stauros for making our stay in Crete memorable!
