Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location was an easy walk to the train station. And the place was newer with a clean look. The ice and filtered water was a bonus in the fridge. Management responded right away to questions. And getting in and out was easy and felt safe. The space was good sized as well and for 3 of us felt like lots of room. Laundry in the unit was also great. Boston is such a fun city and it was great to have a home base to come back to every night.
Negative: The walls and windows are not well insulated. The barber shop and restaurant below the unit were extremely loud. And you could hear anyone walking above, in the hallway, and if they were talking outside accross the street . The listing and the book in the the unit state there is a gas fireplace, but when we asked how to turn it on we were told it was for looks only. Also the beds are not comfortable and the blinds and curtains in the bedroom still let in a lot of light, which could be remedied with black out curtains. The value was ok, but most shops/ places around the unit were closed or open weird hours, so we had to walk further to find coffee, breakfast, etcโ€ฆ if it was not for the noise and curtains and the bed this would have been a 10 overall.
Summary: This unit was nice and close to a train station, but very noisy all day and night.
