Located only a short drive from the stunning Northumbrian Coast, Preston Coach House sits next to Preston House, an old country house with parts dating back to the 1500’s. If you prefer the best of both worlds then Preston Coach House is for you, surrounded by countryside but only minutes from fabulous beaches and fascinating castles. With four double en-suite bedrooms, it is a perfect retreat for couples, families and friends to spend some relaxing time together, whether inside or outdoors on one of the seating areas in the gardens.
Enter Preston Coach House through an arched doorway into the entrance hall, then through another set of double doors into the bright and airy living space. This combined space is perfect for socialising, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and a large farmhouse-size table for entertaining should you not be out at one of the many wonderful places to eat surrounding the house. Two of the en-suite bedrooms are on the ground floor accessed from either side of the living area, and a further two kingsize en-suite bedrooms are up a small flight of stairs on the first floor. All four bedrooms are beautifully presented with luxury bed linen and toiletries.

When you leave Preston Coach House you are spoilt for choice, where to visit first? The stunning beaches at Newton-by-the-Sea are only 4 miles away. Park up then meander down to this award-winning National Trust stretch of coastline with a microbrewery pub tucked up by the cliff. Discover the Farne Islands, a RSPB sanctuary, from a boat trip from the busy little town of Seahouses, a children’s favourite with plenty of fish and chip shops and even a few amusements and gift shops. A mile further is Bamburgh Castle and the beautiful hidden beach behind, much photographed by local photographers and visitors alike. A little further north is Lindisfarne Castle, known as Holy Island, a must see on the Northumbrian coastline, boasting some of the richest history from both the Christian religion and Viking raids.
Only a short drive is Doxford Hall & Spa, should you wish to book a spa experience. Nearby Chathill has a small railway station (1 mile) where you can take a train into Newcastle city centre.
