This adorable modern farmhouse includes an eclectic collection of modern and vintage furnishings, and is situated in a treehouse-like setting above a quintessential red barn. The kitchen includes everything you need to cook your favorite meals in your new home away from home. Enjoy the Old Florida landscape and beautiful sunsets from the comfort of this centrally-located gem. The barn cottage resides in its own gated and fenced area, and boasts a rustic fire pit for roasting marshmallows or enjoying cool evenings. A private 30 acre lake is a very short walk away and can be partially seen from the living area. The property is secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet only 5 minutes from restaurants, a Publix grocery store, and drug stores in upscale South Lakeland.

OUTDOOR LIVING:
Enjoy the adorable 250 sq. ft. elevated outdoor deck. The setting is perfect for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with views of the lawn, sunsets, and oaks with Spanish moss.
There is also a 250 sq. ft. covered ground level sitting area beneath the upper porch, with a Weber charcoal grill and access to a rustic fire pit.
PRIVATE LAKE:
Fish from the banks of the privately-owned Crews Lake.
GENERAL:
Central A/C and Heat, Free Wifi, Washer/Dryer, laundry detergent, linens/towels, paper towels and toilet paper, complimentary toiletries, and a complimentary welcome basket which includes a few snacks and coffee to get your stay started.
Guests are welcome to fish off the bank of the lake. At this time we do not allow swimming or boating.
The long (1 mile+) driveway on the property can be used for birdwatching, walking or jogging. Please do not bring your off road vehicles, such as 4-wheelers.
The driveways are made up of asphalt and/or gravel, so in some areas it may be bumpy and/or dusty. Compact cars however will have no trouble getting to the cottage.
The Barn Cottage sits in the middle of a rural, 240 acre ranch. Because of the undeveloped, natural surroundings you may spot the rare wild animal such as bald eagles, hawks, foxes and otters. We ask guests to enjoy watching them and leave them to their natural habitat.
We allow pets on a case-by-case basis for an additional pet fee. Please inquire for more information prior to booking.
Children are welcome! But please note we are not specifically set up for the needs of infants or toddlers, as the cottage is not child proofed.
**We highly recommend getting trip insurance to protect your investment.
Internet- because of our rural location we only have access to DSL WiFi, and maintain the fastest service available. The speed is usually 5-10 mbps but at times can drop below 3. In general you should have no problem with streaming services such as Netflix, working from the home, or Zoom meetings. The connection however can be inconsistent, and therefore at times frustrating. During those times it is best to have only one user online with no streaming tv. Also you may be able to use your cell phone as a hotspot to boost your speed.
We do not allow Door Dash, Shipt, Instacart, or other delivery services to access the property, so please do not give them any gate codes. You are however welcome to meet them at the main front entrance. This is because in the past they get confused, lost, and deliver to the wrong homes. We have had instances of spoiled groceries and in the worse case scenarios, broken gates. The gates cost upwards of $500 to repair. **Please know that you will be responsible and assessed for any gate damage by you or your party, or any visitors.
