Summary: My husband and I come to Maggie Valley quite often. The first weekend in May we stayed in Pioneer Village. It is an awesome property. Landscaped beautifully, with breathtaking views. The cabins are rustic. That was part of the charm for us. But the insides are beautifully decorated. Every amenity you could ask for. Well maintained. HUGE thick bath towels, great beds and linens, etc. I was so impressed with Pioneer Village, I told my sisters about it. They immediately wanted to go. So here we are, two weeks later, and we just got back home from our second stay in a month! My sisters are 67 and 71. They were planning a trip back with their husbands before we got home! Me too! If serenity, views and cleanliness are important to you, this is your place! My sisters and I took our small dogs with us. My dog is a little morkie with long hair. He got a drink and water dripped off his chin onto the hardwood floors. I took a WHITE paper towel, wiped up the drips across the floor, AND THE PAPERTOWEL WAS STILL WHITE! The location is excellent! Less than a quarter mile from the main road. A creek runs thru the property, views are excellent, and we even saw elk walk across the yard! Ronnie and Mary, the caretakers are available right on site. They welcome you, answer every question you might have, and are very kind. They can be found working around the property but never intrude. close to a perfect property as we've found, and living so close (Chattanooga area) we visit the mtns OFTEN!
