The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, cedar cabinetry, and modern appliances, including a refrigerator with an ice dispenser, a K-Cup coffee maker, and a traditional drip coffee maker. For your convenience, we provide all the essentials including dish detergent, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other basic toiletries. No need to pack the little things – they’re already here!
Outdoors, Enjoy the fresh mountain air and unwind in total relaxation! Whether you're relaxing in the deluxe hot tub or swinging on the porch swing, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Smoky Mountains, where elk often wander near the Bear Den. Winter Snow: The Bear Den is conveniently located near Highway 19, making it an easy drive, except during snowy conditions. In the event of snow, you will need to park your vehicle on Skyway Drive near Highway 19, where a streetlight provides illumination. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately the length of a football field) to the Bear Den. Please note that this may not be a suitable option for guests with mobility challenges or disabilities. While the state Highway Department maintains Highway 19 with 24/7 snow removal, secondary roads in Haywood County, including Skyway Drive do not receive snow removal services.
