Positive: The apartment is furnished with excellent taste to a high standard. We loved its location by the beach. The view of the sea is wonderful -It was a pleasure to watch the sunrise whilst enjoying a coffee on the balcony in the morning. The sea was very warm and clear for swimming - even in early September. The underground parking spot is secure & can accommodate a large car. Access is via a remote control gate and door. The owner thoughtfully provided a lovely welcome pack which included a very nice bottle of chilled rose wine. As mentioned in other reviews, there are many local amenities nearby. In particular I would recommend the chinese restaurant (Kow Long) which is on the other side of the boulevard des Italiens diagonally opposite the apartment. The won ton soup is excellent as are the sizzling beef dishes and seafood. Cost for a 2 course meal is approx 25 - 30 euros per person (excluding drinks - which are reasonably priced) There is an artisan bakery (also contains a cafe) about 40 metres from the Chinese restaurant on the same side of the road, The olive bread and patisseries are fantastic and their home made burgers are very good and cost about 7 euros each. Futher along there is an exotic ice cream parlour The hypermarket opposite has most things you might need. There is also a large well equipped fitness studio / gym above it called One Fitness which costs 10 euros for a session. For a better selection of champagne there is a smaller 'boutique' shop situated 300 metres away in the Marina Baie Des Anges complex called Supermarket Marina Baie Des Anges. This is accessible from the Boulevard de La Batterie, or from walking along the wooden footpath on the beach front. There are also a dozen or so restaurants brasserie, and cafes in the same complex. Villeneuve-loubets is very close to Antibes, Cannes & Nice. If you are driving to these cities consider https://www.onepark.
