The setting is serene and bucolic with lawns going down to the river, yet grocery stores and modern amenities are only 10 minutes away. Located in Chester County, the cottage is close to Civil War battlefields, Amish Country and numerous points of interest, including nearby Phoenixville with a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. The Cottage is new barn conversion and is decorated to the highest degree of comfort with all modern amenities and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The kitchen adjoins an open living/dining room with a woodstove for cozy nights in. The living room and bedrooms all have smart TVs. On the upper level, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms to complement their queen beds, with linens, robes and toiletries provided. There is a washer/drier in the cottage and a powder room for convenience on the lower level. Summary: We had the most incredible stay at this cozy little gem on the banks of French Creek. We stayed with our parents and baby, and it truly knocked our socks off! The cottage somehow managed to feel both luxuriously comfortable and homey — the perfect size for our group, with thoughtful touches in every corner.We were struck by how pristine and beautifully maintained everything was. It was spotless, incredibly well-stocked (seriously, the kitchen had everything), and the décor was warm, elegant, and inviting. The beds were dreamy — plush mattresses, soft linens, cozy robes — and having en-suite bathrooms for both bedrooms made everything so easy and relaxing.The hosts went above and beyond. They were friendly, thoughtful, and super responsive — truly made us feel taken care of. Even though the cottage is tucked into a peaceful, quiet setting, it was just a quick drive to stores, restaurants, and attractions. But honestly? We barely wanted to leave. The grounds were stunning — lush lawns that roll down to the creek, tall trees, gardens, and birdsong everywhere. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this one is maybe our favorite. The photos don’t even do it justice. Every detail has been thought through with such care. It was peaceful, family-friendly, and a totally perfect escape.Whether you’re looking for a quiet weekend, a base for exploring Chester County, or just a reset surrounded by natural natural beauty, this is the place.
