Among the hills on which Todi and Collevalenza lie is the imposing Eremo (Hermitage) Santa Barbara, a splendid historic residence dating back to the 12th century. Immersed in the peaceful Umbrian countryside, it dominates the valley and the surrounding countryside with an all-round view. The external walls in exposed stone, the wooden-beamed ceilings and the stylish furniture give the guest the sensation of a dive into the past. Eremo Santa Barbara fully reflects the Umbrian architectural tradition and lends itself perfectly to welcoming large groups who wish to share the spacious and welcoming common areas and, at the same time, have their own private space. In fact, the structure offers a unique opportunity to organise events and receptions in its large indoor and outdoor areas and also has eight very elegant bedrooms, distributed in two separate wings, finely finished and equipped with air conditioning and each with private bathroom. Outdoors, in the vast, completely fenced-in park that surrounds the structure, is a succession of green lawns dotted with bushes of Mediterranean essences, hedges, scented rose gardens in a thousand colours, tall trees, elegant and comfortable living areas designed for relaxation in the open air and, on one side, the infinity pool set into the most beautiful spot to contemplate the wonderful spectacle of nature and admire the marvellous sunsets. In the external area is also a large car park for about 80 cars and a helipad. The house is located in Collevalenza, a few km from Todi, which, thanks to its central position, allows you to move easily to explore the important assets of the Umbrian and Tuscan territory: typical borghi, with their town walls and picturesque landscapes, and beautiful art towns such as Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Montefalco, Rome and Florence. Basic services and shops are about 6 km away.

Interior:
Eremo Santa Barbara has two floors for a total of approximately 470 m sq m. The first floor is divided into two wings, that can only be reached by external staircases. The main entrance, located on the ground floor, leads to the majestic living room of 225 sq m, with dining area, various sitting areas with soft comfortable sofas, tables, chairs, Smart TV, a corner bar and two characteristic ornamental fireplaces. The living room leads to the large fully-equipped industrial kitchen and a guest bathroom. Furthermore, the living room has various French windows giving direct access to the set-up garden structures. Two external staircases lead to the first floor divided into two parts, coposed of: Unit 1, this wing consists of a double bedroom with sitting area with two single sofa beds and ensuite bathroom with shower and two double bedrooms with ensuite suite with shower; Unit 2, in the second wing are two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower and three double bedrooms (all with additional single bed) with ensuite bathroom with shower. All the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. The laundry room is conveniently located in the basement. Air condition only in the bedrooms
Park:
Eremo Santa Barbara, surrounded by greenery, is located in the centre of a fenced park of about 2.5 hectares. At the end of the internal drive that leads to the house is a well-kept garden with a green lawn dotted with tall trees, neat hedges and enlivened by rose bushes, lavender and many other types of blooms. In this wonderful setting are areas organised for pleasant outdoor breaks, such as the large pergola adjacent to the entrance to the common area, furnished with tables, chairs and a mobile barbecue for alfresco dining, and the large gazebo adjacent to the swimming pool furnished with soft sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, the ideal place for relaxing at any time of the day but above all for enjoying an apéritif with a splendid view of the surrounding hills, all extremely beautiful especially when it is illuminated during the evening. Several metres past the automatic iron gate is the extremely large and convenient, uncovered parking area for about 80 cars and between the gate and the house is a helipad. In lower position, at about 200 mt from the villa, there is the Perugia/Terni highway, therefore it might be possible to hear the sound of cars, depending on the wind direction.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The beautiful infinity pool, with a suggestive pool waterfall on one side, is located at the front of the house and about 20 m from it; located on a slightly higher level than the house it can be reached via a short flight of steps or a paved ramp. The pool, lined in PVC, measures 18 x 8 m with a constant depth of 1.50 m and has chlorine purification, internal lighting and 5 submerged Roman steps for access to the water. The solarium, in travertine and lawn, is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a gazebo furnished with chairs and a sofa. On a lower level, down a flight of steps is the basement located under the swimming pool, with two guest bathrooms and a cold-water shower. Along the side of the solarium area is a second, very large, gazebo, measuring no less than 175 sq m, furnished with sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. Enjoying an apéritif by the pool while listening to background music (thanks to the piped music system) will truly be an unforgettable experience. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
