This beautiful home is a protected townscape. A beautiful house for six people, but can you imagine that this house used to be inhabited by two large families? Until early last century, 't Wambuis was in use as so-called 'poor rooms' of the reformed church across the road. With two families living was tight and that while the local fire hose was also stationed there at the time. The exterior of the house is still fully intact and really picturesque. The inside of the house has been completely renovated. The new interior meets todayโs modern standards.
Cozy interior
The home is light and warm with a cozy feel. Very different than the 'poor rooms' must have felt like in the past. The open kitchen is modern and offers all the appliances you need. The living room has a wood burning stove. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds and both bathrooms are equipped with a toilet and rain shower. One of them even has a sun shower. You will have a great stay in this vacation home where tranquility and comfort combined with the panoramic view form the basis for your vacation.

't Wambuis is alla bout tranquility, space and nature on a unique location. You are near De Hors (a beautiful young new dune area) with many lakes and De Razende Bol, an uninhabited island that is constantly in movement forming a true breeding room for seals. From the house you have a view of the farmlands and the most photographed church on Texel, while the supermarket and various restaurants are within walking distance. You can enjoy the village character of Den Hoorn, known for its cultural happenings, such as Broadway Den Hoorn, Klifhanger, Jazz on the Waves and the Long June month. 't Wambuis is 10 minutes away by car from the ferry port. The charming villages of De Koog and Den Burg are also a 10-minute drive away.
