Escape to one of Bermudas best ocean front accommodations. Sail Away is a spacious upper level 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit located on the eastern end of the island. This uniquely located home boasts lovely views of St. George Harbour spanning over to St. David's island. Just a short walk from the house you will find yourself in the historic town of St. George where you can explore a wealth of local shops, popular restaurants, locally curated tours, and historical sites like Fort St. Catherine.
This home is serviced by Crown Point - a local concierge team on island that will assist you prior to and during your stay. Crown Point will contact you to make arrangements like arrival ground transportation and even deliver groceries to the home in preparation for your arrival. since you will have to head straight to your accommodation until a negative test result is received.
Due to the world health climate in-person check-ins are currently put on hold but we are there to orientate you to the area and the home the next day once your negative arrival test has been received. This will be done respecting the social distancing and current guidelines outlined by our local government.
Sail Away is located near St. George cricket club where the islands biggest two-day cricket match is hosted when it is in the eastern end of the island during the Cup Match holiday.
Nestled away at the end of a gated drive near a pleasant industrial boat yard is the perfect setting for a nautical retreat. The 5 min walk to the main road is easy and peaceful. Enjoy the pastel colored homes along the way.
There are two fast food restaurants nearby and a small convenience store where you can grab last minute essentials.
The airport is less than 5 minutes away from the house meaning your vacation can start that much sooner.
The historical town of St. George is a comfortable walk from the home where you can enjoy live reenactments of what life was like in old Bermuda. The unique boutiques in the square feature various pieces of art and clothing ranging from high-end commodities to locally made souvenirs.
Explore historical landmarks like the Unfinished Church and Fort St. Catherine. Tobacco Bay is a small beach with little waves perfect for all ages. There is a full concession where you can enjoy a locally inspired beverage and great cuisine.
The entire upper unit is accessible by you only. You have your own private entrance.
There are two other units on the property and you will only share the laundry area with other guests. The laundry is coin operated.
You may also encounter other guests on the lower grassy common area.
Sail Away has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sleeper sofa that is ideal for two additional guests such as small children or teens.
As you walk into Sail Away you are welcomed with the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living space. Just off the dining area are french doors leading onto an upper deck overlooking the property grounds and the St. George Harbour.
The kitchen features all appliances we could think of the make you feel at home including a Keurig coffee machine :) There are enough environmentally friendly dinnerware and drinkware in the house that is transitional for indoor or outdoor dining.
The dining room seats 6 comfortably and there are 4 counter height stools for more casual dining. The perfect spot to enjoy breakfast. Outside on the deck there is also outdoor furniture for you and your family to enjoy.
The TV is a flatscreen TV that features Netflix and other modern streaming services allowing you to watch 100s of international channels. Connect to high-speed internet whilst enjoying your stay at Sail Away. We understand working from home is an important.
To the left of the living room is a hallway that leads to the bedrooms. The first bedroom has two comfortable twin beds that can be put together to make a King. The first bathroom is a full bathroom featuring a shower (no tub).
The second bedroom located at the end of the hall is the master bedroom that has a king bed in it and ample natural light. There is an accessible ensuite bathroom to this bedroom that can also be closed off allowing the bathroom to be used by other guests.
Outside there is a lower grassy area that is great for bbqing with the family. From here you can jump right into the beautiful blue ocean. Please be mindful of your little ones as there is no lifeguard on duty. Swim out to the platform a perfect spot for sunbathing on the ocean not far from home.
There are charging ports for the electric cars located at the house that make renting an electric car (two seaters) a great option. The electric cars can be rented from various places on the island. The concierge will assist you booking the right car for you.
The main bus line is just a short walk out the main road that can take you into the City of Hamilton (main terminal) or further into St. George.
The house is conveniently located in the east making it easy to walk to places.
Our concierge team will also be available to assist you with hiring a taxi or prearranged transportation getting you safely to your destinations on the island.
The home is uniquely placed in an industrial boating area. The grounds are expansive so noise shouldn't affect you however you may experience occasional and very brief machine in operation between 9am-5pm weekdays.
