Pass the Keys | The Granary the perfect Country Cottage all year | House in Ashford

2 Bedroom House in Abbess Roding, Ashford
About this space
The Granary... A fantastic, cosy, picturesque hideaway in the beautiful Garden of England, otherwise known as Kent!
A perfect romantic retreat, but also suitable for families. The Granary is in the grounds of a 600 year old Manor House. Many country attractions are nearby. Headcorn Aerodrome is a 10 min walk away, where they have pleasure flights, Spitfire flights, hot air balloon rides, events and more. Leeds Castle, horse-riding and many gorgeous seaside towns are a short drive away!
The space
The Granary is a beautiful Tudor building with lots of original oak beams and rustic character. This traditional charm is complemented by modern decor and furnishings to provide a cozy but stylish home-from-home. Guests have access to free WiFi, a full range of kitchen appliances, a large flat-screen TV with a Blu-ray player, and a high-quality Bluetooth sound system. The upstairs double bedroom is vaulted with an ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, there is the kitchen, living room, shower room and twin bedroom, with an additional two single mattresses if required.
The Garden outside is fully fenced and is a suntrap in the summer. We have a couple of deckchairs and an outside table and chairs for 6 persons for having lovely alfresco meals. Occasionally you'll have Spitfires and other magnificent vintage planes flying overhead and beautiful birds to spot and look at other times!
Guest access
The Granary is in the grounds of the ancient manor, where a family with children live. The Granary has its own self-contained garden and we ask that you do not use the garden of manor to allow privacy for the family who live there. They will also respect yours during your stay. There are footpaths which go on for miles if walking is your thing and we can point you in that direction if you so wish.
Other things to note
Parking - when parking please park alongside the cartshed allowing room for people to access the barn behind the Granary garden, and enough room for the cartshed to be opened.
Waste- please can you only flush toilet paper down the loo. VERY sensitive sewerage system which if blocked will cost us considerable money to repair and we will have to discuss liability.
Smoking is allowed outside in the Granary garden. Request an ashtray if you will be needing one.
Lastly - have a good time!
Additional rules
Please can all guests remove shoes on the stone flooring before stepping on the cozy cream carpets!
