Close to Stockholm you will find this sea side historical mansion from 1909. After being used as a Embassy residence it is now open for you to enjoy.
All floors offers a breath-taking panorama over the Baltic Sea and the inlet to Stockholm. The location is perfect – protected and calm, with the best view possible and the sea shore on your own grounds. In the morning, walk down to your private jetty, and take a swim before enjoying breakfast. The private ground stretches down to the Baltic Sea. Take a tour with your kayaks before taking a long bath in the large sauna.
The stay will be nothing but boring: The large garden of 7000 sq meter offers a private boule court. The outside jacuzzi is overlooking the Baltic Sea and the inlet to Stockholm. Practice some archery in garden. Indoors, you can have fun with the foosball table or playing dart.
You have all possibilities in the old embassy residence.
For your disposal are three kayaks (2 single kayak, 1 double kayak). The motor boat on the jetty may be used after special agreement with the owner.
The house is situated in Kummelnäs which is only 15 km from the citycenter of Stockholm and the old town. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the Old Town with many restaurant, historical buildings and Royal Palace. In Stockholm you can visit the Abba museum, the Wasa ship and enjoy long, bright summer nights. In winter you can enjoy ice skating and skiing. Near the house is both skiing tracks and slalom pists.
You can also take the local ferry to the Old Town or to the archipelago. The ferry stop is on walking distance from the villa. The ferry takes 45 minutes to the Old Town of Stockholm.
One close attraction is the Yasuragi Spa, a luxury japanese style spa. The Yasuragi Spa is 2,5 km from the villa. Another luxury hotel is Skepparholmen Spa and Hotel. About 2 km from the villa.
There is also a multiple choice of nice ports and islands in the archipelago to visit. The Stockholm archipelago is very large with 24 000 islands, with many charming small villages.
The house covers 3 floors with kitchen and double living rooms on ground floor. On the ground floor there is also a gym-area with sauna and spinning cycle and a foosball table.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a room with washing machine and dryer.
On the second floor (top floor) you will find the Master Bedroom with open fire place and small kitchenette. The Master Bedroom opens up to a balcony with a fantastic view. On the top floor is also a wc and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds.
You can also rent the sea side cottage that is situated directly at the sea shore. It is about 100 meter between the seaside house and the main residence. The seaside house was completely renovated 2017 with open fire place, new kitchen, wine cooler etc. It has 1 bedsofa (double) in the living room and 2 single beds in a separate bedroom. It sleeps 4 persons. An extra jacuzzi for the seaside house is placed outdoors just at the shoreline. Beside the jacuzzi is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
If you book the residence you can rent for the sea side cabin separately for 1 250 pounds (1400 Euro) per week. The residence and seaside cabin together sleeps 14 persons.
