Welcome to the Corner Store! This is your own private apartment -- the entire second level of what used to be a corner grocery store. Built in 1902, the space is super unique, comfortable, and modern, yet retains its historic and funky character. Located near downtown, the U of M, and the Mississippi river. Enjoy the spacious, open layout, take advantage of the beautiful backyard and wood-burning sauna, and explore the neighborhood! Please note that this is the upper level of a duplex -- the apartment is private and entirely yours, but there is a separate apartment below you where other guests will be staying.
In the mornings, enjoy coffee and breakfast outside on the deck among the treetops overlooking the large, wildflower-filled private backyard, where, later in the day, you might decide to stroll down the spiral staircase to the yard and have a barbecue, or sit around the fire pit on a starry night with a drink, or have a rejuvenating sweat in the sauna.
The apartment will sleep five people, but is most comfortable with two or three.
I live nearby, and am always available by phone whenever you might need anything!

1. This is very important: NO loud parties, and noise must be kept to an absolute minimum after 10pm every night. You are staying in a duplex, and there will be guests staying in the other unit. Please respect this! If you are coming back to the house late at night, take care to be quiet when entering or exiting. Common sense stuff, but it's all very important.
2. You are also staying in a neighborhood, and my neighbors are super cool people -- please respect them by being quiet and considerate when exiting/entering the house, and when you're spending any time in the yard, on the decks, etc.
3. This is my house; I love sharing it with guests, but it is my home -- please treat it respectfully!
4. Please don't wear shoes in the house; keep them in the entryway.
5. No pets.
6. No additional guests are allowed to stay beyond those who are booked -- please be honest about how many people are staying. There are very good reasons for this; if you have questions, just ask.
7. Absolutely no smoking, and no vaping or e-cigarettes inside. There is a backyard, back deck, and front sidewalk if you need to smoke. Please dispose of cigarette butts appropriately.
8. On checkout, please do your best to leave the apartment as it was when you checked in.
9. If anything comes up that's not to your liking, please let me know so that I can fix it!
