Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Excellent location for rest and solitude away from the tourist bustling of north and west Zanzibar amazing. Set in a forest of Baobab trees, the lodge is within walking distance of a traditional village and the spectacular turtle caves. The reef for snorkelling etc is only 100m from the private and secure beach - unlike the west coast where the beach is endless and the reef is a km away and only suitable for swimming at high tide. The accomodation huts with thatched roofs is exotic and comfortable with sea views even from an additional outside bathroom! Food (my favourite was grilled octopus) and service was very good with commendations to Angel, Adani and Sokani, a proud Masai man. Certainly worth checking out for a short stay. You will not be disappointed but rather totally thrilled!
