Summary: When you visit a counyry for the first time, it's important (to me) to have a good idea what I'm doing, but it's hard if you've never been there before. Danny, Kyle and Tino were like having friends who are happy to tell you whatever you need to know! The communication was excellent, and I cannot stress enough how important that was for us! The house was as advertised. It was charming, spacious, and the view was wonderful! We sat out on the deck every morning drinking Costa Rican coffee, eating fresh fruit from the local tiendas, and watching dozens of beautiful bird species, including scarlet maccaws and toucans. We saw monkeys in the trees of the yard, and the kids could have played in the pool all day every day if we let them. Jaco is close enough for a quick run for anything, including the beach.And Tino! Though he was appologetic for his English, it was much better than my Spanish, and we always managed to know what we were saying. But he is SO conscientious, attentive and polite, and brought out pool toys for the kids! He manages the gate for your security at night, and attends to the pool area every morning, and is such a sweet, gentle soul. The driveway is steep, but it's a paved double-track and none of our cars had any trouble getting up or down. We are accustomed to the mountain roads of the US Rocky Mountains, so perhaps more comfortable than some, but honestly, it's not at all as much of a concern as we thought it might be.This is pura vida!!
