Positive: The photos of the villa didn't do it justice. This place is incredible and no expense has been spared. A home away from home, this gorgeous place defined luxury getaway. With personal touches like a Christmas tree and a selection of Madeira goodies, we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The heated pool and hot tub were enjoyed even in December! The villa itself is very well situated for Funchal as well as all amenities. Incredible place.
Negative: This was such a beautiful place and we were taking a crawling baby and toddler with us. We were very conscious of keeping a close eye at all times. Whilst the living area was all in one place, there were definitely some hidden dangers that we had to be very careful of (the drop round the infinity pool, several sets of stairs, the patio doors that lead straight to the pool). Perhaps wouldn't return with such young children but this is no fault of the villa's.
