An airy property boasting extensive views over the fields and farmlands of Angus, it is set on a working farm with a lovely open aspect. The warm and welcoming open plan country kitchen and dining room is a perfect place to chat about the adventures of the day over a meal or drink, while the cosy living has an electric wood-effect fire to relax in front of enjoying that special quality time. A decked sitting out area extends from the dining area into the large garden which surrounds the farmhouse. The peace and tranquillity of the surroundings means wildlife is in abundance with sightings of deer, hares, pheasants, partridges, buzzards a daily occurrence.
On the farm itself, the owner has the Redcastle Clydesdale Stud, which some horses have been imported as far as the USA for the Budweiser Clydesdales. Also the same site as the famous award winning Redcastle Brewery and Distillery, of which free guided tours can be arranged. Located just a short drive from beautiful sandy beaches, this property is a great choice at any time of the year. Within 6 miles lies the harbour town of Arbroath, famous for its Smokies and historic Arbroath Abbey, with the world famous Lunan Bay just a few miles further along the coast. For culture seekers and shopping the city of Dundee is only 15 miles away, whilst Aberdeen and Edinburgh are within an hour and a half drive. For golfers, the Carnoustie Championship course is only a 15 minute drive and the St. Andrews Championship courses can be reached in 50 minutes.
Close by, Glamis Castle is only 12 ½ miles always and is a popular tourist choice whatever the weather. The Angus glens are popular with hill walkers, as is fishing on the river Tay and Esk along with sea angling trips from Arbroath.
